Yes it charges Alkalines!

I tried a pair of AAA Toshiba Alkalines and can report that the Non-Rechargeable Battery Charger topped them up without any explosions of any sort. Also charged a set of four 2400 NiMh.

I’m told that recommended retail will be around AU$40-$50 and that they will be on shelves in most good gadget stores by the end of July.
